The simple adventures of our highly entertaining little family

On Monday for Family Home Evening we made our gingerbread house! It was a lovely, sturdy two story graham cracker house. No internal structures, surprisingly. That icing held fast! The kids enjoyed helping, but we had to ban Isaac from the candy and make him run laps down the hallway to burn off his sugar intake. What a fun time!

Last Saturday Mike's work had a big family "Breakfast with Santa." It was really neat! They had free donuts and muffins and lots of chocolate milk :) We never did get around to seeing Santa, the line was ridiculous, like seriously. The kids didn't mind. We've seen Santa at the malls and Isaac's not a huge fan anyway. Lydia was more interested in everything else. Like the reindeer! How cool is that? And there were a couple big blow up moonwalk type deals (I don't know what they are officially called). Lydia was ecstatic! Mike went in with the kids to help them out. Here's Lydia inside one of the obstacle courses...
And here's Isaac...
He was not happy! Isaac was just fine when he saw Lydia go in, but once inside he realized he did not like it! Poor kid. He also didn't like the dressed up snowman or penguin people walking around. But he did like the clowns making balloon animals. Isaac says balloon with 3 sylables. "Balaloon." It's cute. Lydia got a flower and Isaac got a giraffe.
What a fun morning! Except for the parts where we tortured Isaac with seemingly wholesome fun.
