"LOVES U"
We see Lydia inherited mommy's perpetual stick-out-on-one-side-when-it's-short hair, no matter how many times you smooth it down!
And here's a great story. One day I found Lydia walking down the hall with shorts on her head! And of course it was right before we were headed out for our regularly scheduled mothers walk and she refused to let me take them off! So I tried my best to arrange the shorts just so, hoping to disguise them as a really cute hat, but I failed miserably. Needless to say the other mothers had a good laugh.
That was a wonderful birthday gift in itself! Oma and Opa love Lydia and she loves them. What a fun visit for all of us! In fact, if Opa could have, he would have sat with Lydia the whole visit and read her books. He's such a cute grandpa.
And my birthday cake? A king cake of course! This one's cherry and already has the cream cheese frosting slathered on! Yum!
And this is me after I blew out all 25 candles! Go me!
I don't actually have any pictures of my birthday on Tuesday, but it was a great day! One of the young women brought cupcakes for our seminary class in my honor! Then just before Mike was out the door to work he got a phone call about a chemical spill so he couldn't go into work until lunchtime! I got him all morning! What a super present! Then the rest of the day was spent on the couch with a miserable, feverish little girl. I was sad she was sick, but I really loved how cuddly she was. Oh my sweet baby. Then my special day ended fantasticly with leftover king cake! What a great day!
