I turned 30! It wasn't as traumatic as I expected it to be. In fact, I think it's pretty cool to be 30! Instead of a cake this year we had chocolate fondue with strawberries, marshmallows and pretzels. Yum! We stuck three candles in the marshmallow bowl. It was a great birthday.

Mike gave me the most gorgeous bouquet of lilies for my birthday! They were HUGE and sooo fragrant! I cut this one to put on the window sill so I could admire it while I did dishes. Enormous, I tell you!

Thank you, Opa, for the package of cookies and salami. Here's Evelyn with a cookie in one hand and salami in the other. Hmm... which one is better?

Well, time is ticking for us here. We fly out to Brisbane next Monday! I feel like there are a million things I still need to do, but at the same time I just want to be there now! We had some good times, Houston. Thank you! But adventure awaits!
