Grandma and Grandpa visit!
We were so lucky to have Mike's parents come to visit us over the winter break! We drove them around town (which took about twenty minutes) and the first stop we had to make from the airport was to buy Grandpa some meat pies.
We had so much fun showing them what we love about this Gladstone area. On the 4th of July we took them to walk along the beach at Tannum Sands and got a family photo while we had the extra hands!
The kiddies with happy Grandma and Grandpa.
The water was too cold for swimming, but you can't go to the beach and NOT put your feet in!
After a great picnic lunch in the sun we headed home for a proper July 4th hamburger barbecue and Grandma made us a fantastic apple pie!
Out for a Sunday evening to walk...
...to spot wild kangaroos!
We took a couple day trips. Up north to walk through some caves, which were beautiful. Shame the lighting was lousy for photos. This picture was taken right before they turned the lights out and Bridget began screaming bloody murder and Mike had to take her back outside.
We also took a day trip south to the town of 1770 and walked around this beautiful park that Mike and I had discovered on our couple's weekend. Just breathtaking!
