Lydia is learning how to feed herself. She decided that she was tired of Mommy breaking her peanutbutter and honey sandwich into bite-size pieces and that she could eat it all by herself. She did that really well.

She also tried to eat the applesauce by herself, however, after getting frustrated with her lack of spoon control, she went to alternative methods of eating. She found this much more efficient.

This spoon thing will obviously take a little bit more work. It's fun to watch her grow and learn. She is now walking like a pro and likes to carry things around, like scriptures (which she can only do a couple of steps at a time because they are too heavy) or her little tote bag. She's just too cute. Here we gave her two empty scripture cases to carry around and she was content to take them all over the house.

We just got back from a great weekend trip to Ohio! But Mike left something there! His hair! Long story short - a marine brother-in-law, 1 oclock in the morning, and basically alot of testosterone in one house. Mike's always wanted to try it, so we figured, hey, why not? Here are some pictures of the event:
Before:
Male pattern baldness: The marine with the buzzers:
Bic it, baby:
After:
Ta da! It's kinda funky. Mike has a nicely shaped head so it looks pretty good. And it feels neat too. Lydia likes to rub his head. And now she finally has more hair than somebody in the family!

But we really had such a wonderful time this weekend! All my family was together! Amanda and Luke were driving their moving van cross country to Boston (cuz Luke's a Harvard man now! Wee ooh!). And Laura and Patrick decided to fly out from California, so we had to come too!
Thank you, family, for the wonderful time! We are so blessed!

Kristi had her baby last Monday and, as was the plan, Mike and I got to live at their house and watch the kids! It was alot of fun! However, there were some complications with the c-section so we didn't come back home til late Thurs night, and that's only because Kristi's Mom came in to take over. Kristi is still in the hospital recovering, but she's doing better. And their baby is a healthy 7 lb 13 oz boy. Troy Bradley. Cute little guy. Going to see them in the hospital Mike and I realized how big Lydia is!
We had a good time with the kids. Here are pictures of when the girls took Lydia and dressed her up! I didn't know they made costumes that small!

Of course the girls couldn't resisit dressing up with her too! It was a regular princess fest! Even little Elizabeth wanted to dress up, but she also refused to put on any regular clothes until the next morning. Toddlers. I can't wait. :)
