Snow!

The week after Valentines Day gave us lots of snow!  The kids had online school the whole week and even Mike got to work from home.  The roads were lousy so we didn’t go anywhere.  It was great to not have to.  It put our food storage to the test!  

The kids did their school work on their computers and then played in the snow in the afternoons.  It was fantastic! 

We found some sleds stashed in the garage by the last owners and they worked great on the slope in our front yard.

Isaac built a snowman too, which he took great pleasure in destroying the next day.

The kids had put bowls out on the deck before it snowed to see how much they could collect.  The bowls were filled to the brim!  We brought them in and made snow ice cream.  Lydia thought it would be gross, hence the face, but it turned out to be far better than she expected.

Everyone got to make their own flavors in their cups.  We had hot cocoa mix, Jello powder, Italian soda syrup, and heavy whipping cream.  So fun!

We all really enjoyed our snow week.  We were grateful for our heater and electricity and running water, especially knowing so many of our friends in Houston were without.  So blessed!
