Last Hurrahs

Mike got a job in Clarksville, Tennessee so it was time to hit a few places before he had to leave Houston and start work.  Mike took me downtown to see the tunnels.  I’d never been and sort of imagined dank underground alleyways, but it was like a small airport terminal lined with little shops and restaurants. Mike said it was weird to see it so empty on a weekday at lunch time.
We had to use our last year’s Christmas gift to ourselves and get in our flying sessions at iFly.  Sorry, no pictures of the fun, just our certificates.  With COVID we were the only ones in our session so the instructor was very helpful after each flight to educate us about body maneuvers.  Nothing fancy, but we got to work on turning, moving forward and backward, and up and down.
We also had to use our axe throwing Groupon with Chad and Sydney.  Once again, COVID made it a very personal experience.  Usually you’re lumped in with a group of 12, but it was just as 4!  We got a lot of throwing time and boy, were my arms sore!

We were so happy to take the Robins to Brazos bend!  We saw a giant monster of an alligator!
The trees there are so fun!
Hooray for sister time!
One last trip to the Houston Zoo.  Ballet poses, why not?
We splurged and got carousel rides!

Snuggly rhinos.
