Happy Easter!

Our neighbors, the Burghardts, have been our social outlet.  They are a great family.  Aaron is 10 and Gabriella is 13.  We’ve kept our socializing out of doors, so I feel like we’re sort of being safe in this Covid-19 chapter.  We had them over on Good Friday to dye eggs.  We tried a couple different dying methods.  Rice and food coloring in shakeable containers which made specklish patterns.
And rubber band lines.
Alice kept rubbing her eggs on her face because they were so smooth. Luckily the dye was dry.
The weather was so gorgeous that we got out the tents for a Friday night of backyard camping.  It was so fun!   Mike and I slept on air mattresses. My kind of cushy camping!

Saturday morning we gathered in the Burghardt’s backyard for an Easter egg hunt (organized by Gabie and Lydia).
Then we had burgers and lamb cake!  Enough Peeps for all the kids.
After lunch the Burghardts introduced us to confetti eggs.  Look at Bridget’s face!
We all had a fantastic time.  We are lucky to have such great neighbors!  And we were so grateful that the weather that was supposed to be stormy turned out to be perfect!
Easter Sunday we had home church, talked to family, had an indoor Easter Egg hunt and went for a walk.  It was 90 degrees!  Welcome to Houston.
Our hot weather walk spritz bottle.

Happy Easter!  We are so grateful for our Savior and His infinite gift of the Atonement.
