Last of Summer

A few fun things to document.  We had a great Pioneer Day activity with both wards in our building. Pulled pork sandwiches and lots of other good food!  The kids shook butter, made little rag dolls, and sewed buttons.  Then everyone went outside to play stick pull, have sack races and tug of war.

We went to a neat park that had a sweet zip line!  Hard to see, but it was super fun.  Even Alice loved it on my lap.  How she giggled!
We saw a zoo presentation at a park one evening.  Lydia went crazy when they brought out the sloth!
We had a downpour one day so I pulled the van out of the garage for a good rinse off.  We hung out in the van for a while with the seats down and the kids found the canister of bungee cords we'd left in the back.  Cheap thrills.
A kid's concert in the park. Bridget's the one dancing with her hand on her hip.  Lydia is way too cool to dance.
We went to a local lake and had a super time!  It wasn't an Australia beach, but it was still pretty great.  We made fast friends with the group of moms and kids next to us when I overheard them talking about "Relief Society."  Ha!  Isaac was happy to play with all their boys.
