Birthday Week

On Monday Evelyn turned 4!
She chose cereal for her birthday breakfast. Too easy! Look at that hand on her hip!

Off to school!

Here we are at Kindy. What fun for her to be big enough to have a birthday at school!

Evelyn got to choose her birthday dinner and it was a hoot trying to figure out what she was talking about. "Green round things. With beans inside." After several minutes we realized she wanted frozen spinach tortellini. We had to tell her there weren't beans inside. Ha! Then for her cake she wanted a "pink strawberry cake with pink strawberry frosting all over it and green frosting writing that says Happy Birthday Evelyn." I think we did well.

For her birthday she wanted "a girly truck. About this big." Amazingly, I found this Barbie Jeep that fit the description about just right.

Happy birthday, gorgeous Evelyn! She is such a strong spirited, fun little girl (yes, that is a nice way of saying a mischievous little imp)! We love her immensely!

Lydia's birthday was on Wednesday and she turned 9! She chose oatmeal for her birthday breakfast! Wow, is she awesome or what?

Off to school! Sweet face.

Silly face.

Everybody, silly faces! What crazy kids!

Lydia chose spaghetti carbonara for dinner and a chocolate cake. Glad I had some leftover pink frosting for the words.

The black boots with buckles that she wanted for her birthday hadn't come in yet, so we were thrilled my best friend came through with a fun stationary pack for her!

Happy birthday, Lydia, dear! She is my wonderful helper in all things. So kind and loving. I am so blessed that she is part of our family! Getting older and more beautiful every year!
Here's a funny story. As we were sitting around eating cake we talked about how the next birthday to celebrate would be Bridget's. And that it would be her first, so she'd get a cupcake to devour. Then we thought "where IS Bridget?" She was under the table eating cake that Evelyn had dropped! Not yet, baby!

Wow, three wonderful girls in your family! They are all so beautiful! Glad the birthdays and cakes turned out well and that they are low-maintenance; their future husbands will be so grateful :)
