The simple adventures of our highly entertaining little family

I got to join Lydia on her first field trip last week! We went to a school district owned nature area. The kids hunted for bugs in a big field. Here she is looking at a grasshopper in her official field guide bug catcher.

After field study we walked to a little educational building. Here's Lydia walking with some friends. So cute...

In the classroom we got to pet a dove, a turtle, a lop-eared rabbit and a snake! Lydia liked touching the animals, here she is with the corn snake.
On Saturday our city had a "Festival for the Young Child" where there were free books, crafts, and activities. We were even able to get the kids fingerprinted. Super cool. But the thing that Lydia had been anticipating for weeks were the pony rides. I made the mistake of telling her about them when I first found out about the event and every other day it was "Mommy, is today the pony ride?" So she finally got her ride...

Isaac was NOT a fan of the ponies, he wouldn't even sit on one for a picture. But here's a way cute picture of him standing in line watching some kids play frisbee.

A Field Trip to see buys and animals? So, who enjoyed it more, Lydia or Elizabeth? (Don't worry I know the answer). Isaac is the man with an awesome pose!
