Exciting Dates

On Thursday night Lydia and I had a mommy daughter date.  We went to see a hip-hop tap dance show!  I was reeeeally excited to see it, but Mike was like "ummm... why don't you take Lydia?"  Ha!  Lydia and I had a good discussion in the car about how it's okay if couples don't like all the same stuff.  This is why I've sent Mike to football games with his brothers for years.  Lydia and I had a great time!
The next day Lydia and I had another mommy daughter date.  To the Emergency Room!  She cut her hand with Isaac's pocket knife and earned herself two stitches.  It was not a fun date and we decided not to have one like that again.
Saturday was another very exciting date!  Mike and I left the kids with a sitter that morning and got on a plane to Brisbane.  Just the two of us!  We got to witness a beautiful temple wedding of some friends in the branch.  I like this picture because it looks like I have a flower in my hair.
Mike and I got to do a temple session ourselves then enjoyed lunch at the park across the street.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous!  Then back on the plane and home in time to finish dinner and get the kids to bed.  What an amazing day!

Poor Lydia, I guess this means she needs her own knife. She can probably find a good one at the next gun & knife show - like Biz did when she was young. Great date opportunity to see the dance show. Love you all, Opa.

Lydia's knife is a lock back - pretty hard to close on her fingers. Great adventures. Glad you only had to take pictures of the flooded areas. Opa

Lydia's new knife will not close accidently on her fingers. It is like Biz's orange one but a little more robust. Love Opa
