Evelyn's birthday weekend
Since Evelyn has been so into birds lately we went to Lone Pine Park to feed the lorikeets the day before her birthday. It's funny, we went to Lone Pine Park last year for Evelyn's birthday! (In the picture you can see Lydia plugging her ears because they were sooo loud!)

The lorikeets were extremely active that day! Each of us got one on our head at one point (except Isaac), but it was hard to catch them with the camera.

And of course, we got to pet the kangaroos!

It always takes me a while to warm up to the emus. They are just... freakishly intense. Lydia thinks it's funny that I am hesitant with them. Well, you would be too when they look like they're going to stab you in the eye with no warning! Gah!

We love Lone Pine Park and can't wait to share it with family coming soon!!
Evelyn the 3 yr old!! On our way out the door to church. I wanted to get a picture before her hair turned all crazy, which is usually pretty quickly. We were excited to find a card on our front porch from our sweet neighbor (who would have delivered it herself had she not been under the weather). It had $5 in it! That's big money!

Crazy hair at dinner. Her choice was home made pizza. (It's a good thing I make super pizza because Australian pizza is lame.)

For her birthday we gave her a stuffed lorikeet, which she adores and wanted to name Lydia. I tried to convince her otherwise. And so it remains nameless. It was hard to get a decent picture because the bird was so fast!

We also bought her a brand new fairy costume. Our other fairy wings were about flown out. Look at that happy smile!

And the bird cake! I bought a feather bird at a craft store and stuck it on top of the cake. Ta da! Instant bird cake!

We invited our other neighbors over for cake and ice cream. They have two teenage girls we sometimes use for babysitting. They are fabulous! It's funny, we had neighbors over for Lydia's 3rd birthday too. I took a video of Evelyn blowing out the candles, but it is having issues.
We love our 3 yr old Evelyn! She is clever and mischievous and irresistibly adorable! We love her so much!
