Got our stuff!
By the way, we got our stuff a few weeks ago! Mike took the day off. Thank goodness! We learned in Houston when the moving company brings in the boxes they give you a clipboard and you have to mark off each box they bring in. Two years ago I was trying to do that by myself with 2 small children and a newborn. I called Mike later that day near tears and demanded he never do that to me again. We were ready this time.
It is so nice to have all our things and to get rid of that gosh awful rented glass table! Here's Evelyn happily cutting a sandwich at our table, surrounded by boxes.

It is amazing as we unpacked we created 3 big give-away boxes. When you live 3 months without your stuff, it makes you realize all the things you don't need. Don't worry, the kids weren't in the give-away box.

We are all moved in! (the obligatory 2 or 3 boxes that get stashed in a closet and never get unpacked don't count). Thanks be to my wonderful husband! He is so organized and driven to unpack boxes. I am, on the other hand, dysfunctional when it comes to packing or unpacking. I open a box and get overwhelmed. So if it was up to me, we'd still have 20 boxes left in the house.
And with a few of the bigger boxes Mike made a great cardboard house! What fun!

I bet that there are boxes in the basement that haven't been opened since we left Albany - to move to NorthWest. Ha. I know that I have some things that I don't know where they are - somewhere in a box in the basement or maybe the garage. Trying to get it sorted through slowly. Love Opa
I love the box contents and the box house! Can't wait to see you guys!
I feel like that is one of the few perks of having to pack and unpack your stuff..you realize all the stuff that you don't need. I hear you on the glass table. Our summer place has a glass dining table; impossible to keep clean. Glad you finally have your things there in Oz! And way to go with the cardboard house! I loved making houses with the big refrigerator boxes Daddy would bring home in Virginia.
It's always nice to have your own things!
