Birthday Girls!
Evelyn turned 9!! This year Evelyn got an American Girl Doll (thank you, Oma). She’s had one on her wish lists for years. Evelyn was so excited! It made up for the torture of having her birthday on a fast Sunday. Ha!

Evelyn is growing into a confident and thoughtful girl. She has such a beautiful smile (even if she rarely lets us catch it on film)! Happy Birthday, dear Evelyn!
Lydia turned 14!! We got to have the Calls over for lunch and a swim at our neighbor’s pool.
14 fingers! (Evelyn was being less than thrilled to participate, hence the troll face.)
Lydia liked her carrot cake so much last year that she asked for one again this year. And she's recently made a major life change. Her new favorite color is yellow.
Lydia received a fun birthday surprise! We saw a rainbow as we headed into church for a YW/RS service project.

Glad Evelyn likes her American girl doll. Cupcakes are always fun. As you all get older you'll have to use fingers and toes to show your ages. Ha. Opa
Bike rides, a great snack lunch,a fishing bird, party hats, a wonderful family and ice cream. Life is good. Opa.
Great soap box. I bet she is glad she hadn't joked about standing on top of a volcano. An epic water fight and more ice cream. You guys are really living large. Opa.
