October Happenings

Busted!
What's crazy is when we moved to Gladstone and set up this trampoline Mike jumped on it with keys in his pocket and managed to put a dime sized hole in it.  I threw my hands up and said "I give it two days before the whole thing is destroyed!"  Well, to our amazement it lasted two years!  The kids had some good fun with it while it was broken, but we were happy to get a replacement mat.  For a little while at least the kids' feet won't be covered in chalky black stuff
Bridget got a trim.  I was so reluctant to cut her gorgeous curls, but the ends were turning into dreadlocks.  So thrilled she still has ringlets!  And Alice turned 9 months!  She sure is a cutie!
Alice learned to clap!  What a fun milestone.  And here you can see her two little bottom teeth.
Bridget is taking swimming lessons.  Her first three lessons were rather traumatic (she was THAT screaming child) so I was ecstatic when she got in the water last week with no tears or wailing!  Hallelujah!
It's not a great picture, but here she is paddling with a kick board.  Her teacher wears a pretty mermaid crown!
We had a nice low key Halloween party at our house with our wonderful Williams.  Here's us.  A mime (I tried the white face paint, but it was torture so I wiped it all off), a baby in a tutu, Princess Bridget, Mike is a recordable injury (you can't see the blood dripping down his forehead), Lydia is Professor Trelawny from Harry Potter, and Evelyn is a witch... with a fairy wand.  Isaac was dressed up as a feverish kid asleep in his room.  Poor chap.
James and Deborah.  Bridget was NOT a fan of James' dinosaur.  Deborah is a baby dinosaur hatching out of an egg.  She's due to hatch in two months!
We played donut on a string, which I had cut the strings too short.  They are tied on the shortened frame of our new canopy.  (After camping with a borrowed canopy we had to buy one for ourselves!). Check out our cool friends Iron Man and Paw Patrol.
And we played a toilet paper mummy race game.
After a good sausage sizzle I took the girls trick or treating to a few of the neighbor's houses.  We got a total of two houses, three if you count ours.  No one was home.  Best trick or treating outing ever!  5 minutes!

Wonderful adventures. Love the horse picture. Are you certain the trampoline mat wasn't torn by the meteorite that landed in Western Australia a few weeks ago? Everyone looks so good. Love Opa
