Book Week!

A couple weeks ago the kids got to dress up as book characters at school.
Evelyn was the Princess in Black (written by Shannon Hale).
Isaac was Harry Potter.
And Lydia was an evil librarian from Brandon Sanderson's Alcatraz books.
And because Isaac needed a wand for his costume we ALL made wands that week!  It was SO FUN!  Chopsticks, hot glue, paint, and some imagination!  Wands of the oldest to youngest (even Mike and I) from left to right.  I have had to make a few household rules like: no wands at the table and no physical contact during a wand duel.
Alice is a little too young for her wand yet, but she is getting mighty big!  She got her first two teeth!  Now she can pulverize those biter biscuits into a lovely paste.  The camera didn't quite capture the light film of goo all over her cheeks.  Mix it all together with snot and anything else she's eating and I sure could use a cleaning spell!  It's a good thing she's so cute!

Great costumes! Sabrina was the Princess in Black for her school book characters parade last year. Great girls must think alike! Love that adorable baby and her cute little cheeks!

Who even knew there was an evil librarian. Instead of going "Shhhh" to loud people, does she smack them with a book? Fantastic wands, how great a use for chopsticks. What great bunch of children. Love Opa
