Seeing things we never saw before...
What a fun day today! This morning before breakfast one of our neighbors came over to show us what she found in her garden this morning. An echidna! She and her husband had worked with thick gloves to get it out and into a small garbage can with blanket. So she brought it over to show us before releasing it into the wild! We were soooo excited!! It was about the size of a soccer ball and was trying to burrow in the blanket. We got to touch its spines. Sharp things too! Like hard hollow quills. Yikes!
AND this afternoon our senior missionary Elder North came to check out why one of our piano keys was sticking. He just happens to tune pianos for a hobby (nice hobby to have when your wife is a piano teacher). We got to see the inside of our piano! The kids were amazed at how pushing the keys make the hammers hit the strings. What a neat day!

Wow!! What neat adventures. I have never seen a live echidna, only in pictures. Great to get the piano fixed. Had a red bead magically flown into the insides and gummed up a Key? Ha. Love daddy.
